Beer on Tour: Hannover

I’m touring round Germany, Belgium and France with my day job for the next couple of weeks and thought it would be fun to write a little about some local beers.

Today we’ve been in Hannover and there hasn’t been much time but on the upside our management provided some free beer: Gilde Ratskeller Premium Pils (4.9%)

This is fairly big standard pils that is a bit over bittered, no real hop flavour though. Still, can’t complain as it’s free.

Now we’re back at the hotel and there’s a free mini bar (big up the Hannover Dormero) so I’m trying a Radeberger Pils (4.8%)

Pretty similar to the first bit with a slightly nicer malty flavour, still over bittered but no real hop flavour.

Ah well, not great pickings today, I had a great steak though! Here’s hoping for better tomorrow!
